The Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Center since
its inception in 2003 has been in
forefront of promoting peace, coexistence, understanding,
and empowerment of women. Father
Nabil Haddad, the founder and Executive Director, is one of
the preeminent religious leaders
in region. As Arab Christian, he commands respect from both
religious and secular
organizations. His life-long work represents a wealth of
deep understanding of the culture
and religious traditions in the Middle East and globally. He
has been uniquely able to
connect the many stakeholders in the peace process in the
region, be they governments,
religious societies, Muslims or Christians, secular
organizations, or various
non-governmental entities.
The three Coexistence programs represent uniquely effective
means of reaching all the
critical members of society invested in peace and
understanding – imams, women, and youth.
Father Haddad’s experience and expertise has helped to
establish the JICRC as a truly
effective global peace resource; these programs are the
culmination of years of research and
study of all aspects of peace and coexistence.
Implementation of these programs will provide a simple yet
powerfully effective voice for
peace and acceptance in the Middle East and will unite all
the stakeholders in providing
efficient means to improve regional and global conditions.
